No saints here, just an s and a t. I proudly bear my great-grandmother’s name and lineage, and happily answer to either form in any language. Names are important—mine just happens to translate.
I’m a teacher, born to give others the courage, insight, and space they need to become who they really are. I have taught, mentored, and coached fourth graders and undergraduates, principals of schools and superintendents of large districts. In this context, I conducted research and innovated practices with a basis in developmental psychology, trauma-informed teaching, and somatics. My body of knowledge has roots in improvement science and emergent strategy—which are more clinical ways of saying process orientation. Or, simply put: ritual.
I began studying Hellenistic astrology almost a decade ago when I was called to the wisdom of ancient oracular practices—in particular, the ceremonial and devotional practices originating in the cultures from which I’m descended. Today, I continue to deepen my praxis as an initiate of the Quintessia Mystery School.
I’m a devoted student of my discipline, meaning I have spent thousands of hours studying, experiening, and contemplating the philsosophical system I work within, and hundreds more practicing in context. This has happened over the course of many years; knowing takes time. I’m not a pop astrologer or fortune teller—if fast and easy answers were the way, I promise I would give them to you. The work we do together is sure to be deep and initiatory, but also tender and life-affirming.
